About the chef

Antonio Salcuni

Originaire de Vieste dans les Pouilles, Antonio Salcuni tient depuis plus de 22 ans le restaurant « Il Forno a Legna » aux côtés de son épouse Sandra, dans le quartier de la Servette à Genève.

Arriving in Switzerland at the age of 15 and working since his early childhood, Antonio has always devoted himself to restoration with dedication and perseverance. Passionate about cooking since childhood, it is his many travels, his curiosity and his love for exceptional products that have led him over the years to build up his menu and develop his cuisine, which is elegant, authentic and gourmet, while giving pride of place to the raw product and its freshness.

Its menu perfectly combines the most traditional wood-fired pasta and pizzas, with original suggestions that change with the seasons. The restaurant also offers a wide range of exceptional meats that customers can choose from a display in the dining room.
Finally, a surprising wine list with more than 150 references features Italian wines, of course, but also Spanish and French ones, as well as refined champagnes. Antonio has been a member of the Order of Champagne Knives since 2010.

It is in this establishment, open since 1982, that the Salcuni couple welcomes their guests with professionalism and passion to share their love for the best ingredients and a cuisine of character.
